Creating an Opportunity

Last Updated: May 08, 2014 12:19PM PDT

Overview

An Opportunity is a standard Salesforce.com object.  Opportunities can be made from either an Account or a Contact.  Adding Products on the Opportunity can be done by clicking "Add Lines".  On the Opportunity object the user can create a Quote or Order by clicking the new buttons displayed at the top the of page, "Generate Quote" and "Generate Order".  In the process the user does not always have to create a Quote and can go straight to an Order from an Opportunity.
